Oxford Comma - Vampire Weekend
Who gives a fuck about an Oxford comma?
If you grew up in a small town, raging against your parents and praying for anything at all to happen on a slumbering main street on a restless Friday night, you remember. Home perms and garage sale jeans and dinner at Hardees if you were lucky and boys who snowmobiled to school and girls who lost their virginity in the back seats of Geo Metros parked at the Kids Kingdom playground the whole town rallied to build. And wondering if this was going to be your whole damn life.
Who we were is a tricky thing.
As tricky as who we are now and who we will become. That past is both the foundation for what delivered us here – and the impetus for why we worked so hard to leave, to better ourselves, to be delivered.” —

Everyone sort of needs to read this wonderfully well written review of Sweet Home Alabama.

Um, your hair looks full of awesome (and secrets)!
Haaaaa
Yes, my hair is full of secrets!
I didn’t learn how to do my hair properly until I was (uh, now?) anyway, I’ll give you my hair rundown.
This will be most helpful for those ladies with curly/wavy thick colour-treated long hair. The rest of you, SOL.
Washing
I wash my hair every other day (must add I shower daily). I generally rotate shampoo and conditioner, this and this. Once a week I use this or this for extra conditioned hair happiness.
Styling:
Straight:
Blowdryer of awesome
round prickly brush
Moroccan Hair Oil of the gods (nickle size while wet) and straightening stuff
I use a wide-tooth comb to distribute product. Dry most of it upside down so I look like Medusa, then section off pieces to dry properly. I usually bust out the curling iron for that super model sex hair look.
Hairspray like a demon.
Curly:
Moroccan Hair Oil again and this curling stuff
Comb through and rub in hair real good.
Hairspray or use this stuff. The name has wood in it and is described as “Shake up any style with a diffused, unrefined wool finish.”
What?! I don’t care, it smells good and it gives me the big hair and the texture. I like it.
I also am in love with this. After party is right. And this because I dream of being a beach goddess.
Curly hair girls, I have tried every curl product on the face of this Earth and Mars and I haven’t found a miracle yet. I know which ones I don’t like, but it’s a crap-shoot every time I buy something new.
*tell me your favorites, inquiring minds!
**finding links for this stuff was a bitch, you’re welcome.
First night alone in this house.
I won’t call it my house, as I have to be out in 30 days.
Trust, if I told you the story you would not believe me.
Summer art/workshop/thing class finished today, a brilliant success if I do say so.
And my reward for handling it all?
Crystal Light cherry limade and rum (you don’t even know)
Chiptole sweet potato fries
An episode of Memphis Beat (What? Did you see Jason Lee’s ‘67 Chevelle? I rest my case).
but it’s temporary.
My life, packed in boxes.
Long, emotional weekend.
Roller coaster.
I’m done.
Tomorrow I’ll start looking for another place to live,
a corner to call my own.

Still love this song.
Hello perfect Friday at 11:44pm tune.
Yes, I am counting down the minutes.
